Business with the GE/Alstom Baden, Switzerland office is continuing since their acquisition by GE on November 2nd, 2015.  The newest project that was awarded is for the Ashalim Solar Thermal Power Plant located in Israel.  The simulator models are being developed  as a collaboration between GE/Alstom and WSC engineers using the 3KEYMASTER environment and modeling tools. This will mark the second large solar thermal power plant modeled using the3KEYMATER Environment, the first of which was Ivanpah Power Plant located  around Las Vegas, Nevada. 
  
 The 121 MW Ashalim Solar Thermal Power Station in Israel's Negev desert will have more than 50,000 computer-controlled heliostats, or mirrors, that track the sun on two axes and reflect sunlight onto a boiler on top of a 250-meter tower. Construction is underway and the facility is scheduled to be completed in late 2017.  As in other collaborations with GE /ALSTOM, this simulator project will be used as part of an SAE (Simulation Assisted Engineering) process to identify and correct control system errors before commissioning of the unit.
